Untitled, 2002
color photographs
The Untitled work is the result of my discoveries happening throughout one year of my life. I photographed my family, friends and area I’ve lived in for 20 years – “blocks”, a part of New Belgrade. After seeing movies made in Dogma style, I wanted to take photos of my family and friends without planning and without “directing”. I was interested in a person within a surrounding with no significance of his or her profession or nationality or life style. My intention was to neutralise the presence of my hasselblad camera even being very close to persons I photographed. Above all the instinct was leading me.
