Stencil art in public space, workshops

Blek Le Rat, widely considered the Godfather of modern street-art, was the first to use stenciles to draw silhouettes in the street. After going through the court trial in 1991 when he was charged for damaging private property, in 1994 Blek started using stencils on cut out paper which enabled him to remove the posters from the public space in the case of police intervention.  Blek Le Rat has been investigating the urban space for over 28 years.
